Some Excellent advice I was given about buying every day utility items

When I was furnishing my kitchen for the first time some years ago, I had done my research here and elsewhere on what brands and items were worth spending the money on. As many of you know buying quality items for a kitchen can get EXTREMELY expensive. I was talking with my older brother about exactly this when he gave me the advice to buy a few core quality items, And just cheap buy everything else.He reasoned that a few good saucepans and a nice boiler with a cast iron skillet and a good knife, would be worth buying first and buying well. Everything else you could just replace as you went along when they break or aren’t quite what you’re looking for. This spreads the cost out over time instead of one or two large lump sum purchases. Plus the added bonus of not buying expensive name brand items when something cheap can do the job just as well for just as longThought this might be a useful financial strategy for other like me who can’t just buy a full all clad or le creuset set in one go. via /r/BuyItForLife https://ift.tt/3lb07YG
