Salary trending up a lot in Canada?

Just heard from multiple people they got 20%-100% salary increase either by changing jobs or spontaneously from their employers, very recently.What is going on? Is there some news I missed?I checked glassdoor for salary on software developers in Ontario, and the numbers there seems to be only at 60% of what people are actually getting paid recently.
