Reading books is my therapy

Every so often, I read a book where an author speaks to my soul. I feel like I crave deeper and more meaningful conversations in my life, and when I don’t have access to that (which is the majority of the time), I feel so deeply fulfilled by books.I just read David Chang’s Eat a Peach. I picked it up being an average fan of the chef, never eating at his restaurants but seeing a couple things with him on tv. I tend to lean towards nonfiction, so I was like eh whatever, I’ll give it a try.And my god! His raw and honest truth, his entire philosophy on his mental health and how he keeps pushing himself through his depression every day- this was what I needed as someone who struggles through depression myself. I just love reading a book that I can’t put down because it feels like a conversation with a friend that I never want to end. via /r/books https://ift.tt/3uXsttO
