Millennials as we know have slaughtered everything from Diamonds to Napkins… But there is a new generation in town, and will the shoe soon be on the other foot? My suggestion Craft beer and Microbreweries will be an early casualty of generation Z. They barely drink and they certainly don’t drink weird cloudy beer. via /r/Millennials https://ift.tt/LIBPOil

I have worked in Tim Hortons for a short period of time. When I received my paycheque, I found that they did not pay for the 14-hour mandatory online training. According to their company policy, an employee must finish the online training to start the in-store training. So I emailed the manager, and was told, “we never pay for online training”. Then, I filed a claim to Ministry of Labour. Several months later, the officer called me and followed up. Recently, I received the paycheque of the deducted wages. From the email response of the manager, I can reasonably assume that they never paid their employees for those online trainings. Now that I have gone through the whole claim process, I want to let other employees know that your online training should also get paid. If they did not pay you, do file a claim with MTO. That is your protected right under Employment Standards Act. via /r/ontario https://ift.tt/hLBfgDQ

I had my baby 3 weeks ago and am exclusively breastfeeding. I have 2 under 2 and feel like I’m drowning with my unmedicated ADHD. Before pregnancy I was taking Strattera and it was life changing. I was much more able to manage regular life and motherhood. In the past I was told that you couldn’t breastfeed while taking Strattera, but more recently I’ve heard you can take it while breastfeeding. I have a new doctor that I’m meeting soon so I will be discussing this all with them. I’m just looking for people’s experiences if they’ve safety taken Strattera while breastfeeding. Did you take a lower dose vs when you weren’t breastfeeding? Did you wait until the baby was a certain age? Did you notice any effect on the baby? Any experience that you would like to share is appreciated! Thanks! via /r/breastfeeding https://ift.tt/4GkxSWa

I see a lot of posts about when/if to have family stay with you when baby comes. I just wanted to share my experience and why it was so good. For background, my dad is a 72yo retired widower. He was my mom’s caregiver for several years before she passed away two years ago. He loves a few states over from us. This is what made have no him so good:We have a small house but enough room for him to have his own room and bathroom. He is good at entertaining himself. He cooked my breakfast to order every single morning as well as most of my lunches and dinners. He is a great cook. He did all of the dishes, most of the laundry, and cleaning/typing of the common areas of our house. He keeps his parenting opinions to himself. All of the women in my family breastfeed pretty openly so nursing in front of him wasn’t a big deal. He ran errands for us.My baby would only sleep while held and my dad took the 4-8am shift most mornings. This is when my baby had his longest stretch of sleep and my dad is a very early riser. He can do basic baby care like getting them dressed and changing their diaper. He’s been around for all 6 of his grandkids births so he has realistic expectations of what the newborn/postpartum period is like and what the needs of the family are. These are some things that made the experience really positive for us. I’m pregnant again and I’m REQUIRING him to stay with us again. We would have fallen apart without him. Having a helpful able bodied adult in the house that isn’t you or your partner makes such a difference. I know very few people are this lucky. I just wanted to share some of the reasons why it was so positive for me, hoping others will be able to use it as a reference when considering their own situation. via /r/BabyBumps https://ift.tt/vN0DYkL

8mo finally rolled and I am ready to scream it from the roof tops I am so proud! She has been a little chiller, not motivated to move at all. Always happy to lay and look at the ceiling or tummy time forever but no interest in moving and I have been a little stressed about it to say the least. Paediatrician and Physical Therapist weren’t overly concerned because she is a strong little bub and is hitting all cognitive and speech milestones. Anyway, if you’ve got a little late bloomer like me hang in there. They’ll get there and it will be such a fun day when they do! My partner just gave birth to our son at 28 weeks and 4 days. We are happy to report he is doing great, weighs 3 lb 1oz, 16″ long and can breath on his own. I am posting to say anything can happen. As first time parents we had no idea that he’d be born so prematurely. Her pregnancy was going great all the way up until the last few days when she got serious pelvic pain. No family history and preexisting conditons for premature birth. It just never crossed our minds even as we raced to the hospital yesterday at 330am. When we arrived to the hospital she was already 6cm dilated. Everything came so fast and she delivered him at 1134am. What a day! via /r/NewParents https://ift.tt/8aIKSUv

We got an Uppababy Vista v2 stroller with the bassinet attachment included. When the baby comes, can we just park the bassinet stroller (with the wheel lock on) next to our bed while we’re sleeping until we transition him to his crib? I just don’t think getting a second bassinet specifically for our bedroom makes sense, especially since they grow out of them after ~4 months? They’re not super expensive and I’ll get one if there’s a good reason not to use the one we have already. Here’s the setup we have: https://ift.tt/RmlL75w via /r/NewParents https://ift.tt/Jdbg5Uw
