Hi everyone,Sharing our story which aired on CityTV today. 48 hours before our closing date, we were hit with almost another 20% in closing costs pertaining to “water meter installation” fees and “Electrical meter fees”. Tens of thousands of dollars. Some individuals had to pay upwards of 70k to 170k or risk losing their deposits, and the developer reclaiming the condo and reselling it.We made it on the news this evening:City TV CoverageIf people could be made aware of this developer and stop it from happening to others it’s all I ask. This developer has 2 more builds going up as we speak. Haven developments should not be able to build in this province again. They did this for the second time now.People are losing their homes, or forced to borrow/loan the extra costs in an extremely short timeframe. This has been the most stressful time as majority of us are first time home buyers and were excited to close on our new homes.UPDATE: A lot of comments talking about how this is our fault and our lawyers. I just want to make it clear, this is EVERY resident of the building. We had our charges capped but they used avenues such as Meter installation fees that are outside of the capped charges to justify this. Some residents are new to Canada and dont know the process, these ones didnt necessarily have development charges capped and they received an extra 70k just in development fees. Hi friends.I paid a locksmith to unlock my door, he used a drilling method as he couldn’t open it any other way. Ever since the cylinder has been loose and does not open unless you push on it when turning the key (otherwise the key gets stuck).I am leaving my tenancy soon and want to fix it before then, happy to pay but don’t know who to ask. I am unsure how he removed the cylinder while the door was locked, as there are no screws – could anyone assist in how to repeat his process. Thinly sliced sauteed onion.I’ve been on a bean burger kick for a few weeks, and it didn’t matter how much of any extra “binding” agents I added in, the burgers would inevitably smash out the sides of the bun when I bit down.So I got to thinking, how does ground beef keep its shape? And I think it’s because muscle fiber is just that – fiber. The muscle is a bunch of little strings that get all knotted up and hold the fat particles in place, and then once they’re heated, the fat and muscle expand and contract at different rates, which tightens up the knotted lattice of the burger patty.So how to replicate it? To maximize string length, I took a big onion, sliced it into super thin rings, and then cooked them down on high heat until they were pliable. Then for flavor and some more stringy-ness, I took some baby Bella mushrooms and similarly sliced them into “strings” by pulling off the stems and slicing them to matchstick length and thinly slicing the caps, then cooked them down. (And the mushroom cap slices kind of hook around on either end, so that probably helps the structure)From there I just copied J Kenji Lopez’s black bean burger recipe – 2 cans of beans baked until mostly dehydrated, an egg, mayo, bread crumbs, salt pepper, crushed cashews, chilli in adobo sauce, crumbled cotija cheese.And hot damn, you can just man-handle these burger patties and they keep their shape.I hope this helps people going through the same struggle! via /r/vegetarian https://ift.tt/ALmyorx

With over 1000 complaints in the past year to BBB on them how have they not shut down?DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM, even with their reasonable prices, they have over 3000 terrible reviews on google among all their stores.Cancelled my REFUNDABLE order within 24 hours and they held delivery and are now saying they cannot refund me. If you took my money and you did not deliver or even ship anything out you should refund the money you took ASAP.I am a first time home buyer and wanted a good experience but this is the exact opposite of a time that should be exciting. Will never again shop there but wanted to warn anyone else who is shopping for house furniture not to give them your business.Edit: their is also a CBC article written on all the complaints.
