Major mum guilt. I have a 6 month old and toddler and recently went back to work full time, starting at 7am after being up with baby several times each night. I know the recommended coffee limit is 2 cups a day but I feel like I could just lie on the pavement and sleep!! So I often have 3/4 even 5 cups- BUT I am still fully breastfeeding. Does anyone know any studies on the impact of caffeine in breastmilk? At what age can a child comprehend that if they throw a toy on the floor (like at a restaurant) that they won’t be able to play with that toy anymore? FTM to a 5 mo. We spend a lot of time with our friends that have an almost 2 yo. When we go to restaurants, the 2 yo continuously throws her toys on the floor and they pick them up and give them to her again. She seems to be able to comprehend a lot of what they say to her even though she can’t respond well. They say, “if you do that one more time, we’re leaving it on the floor.” But then she throws it on the floor, they leave it, she cries, so they pick it up. Rinse and repeat. Obviously I have no idea what it’s like to be a parent of a 2 yo, so I’m genuinely curious what they can comprehend, at what level, and what would be an ideal response in a situation like this. I feel like i won the lottery. Our LO has been struggling with passing gas since birth. Besides cramps he’s struggling with reflux and a constantly stuffy nose (probably cause by the reflux) and a congested tear channel. This week after yet another sleepless night comforting and massaging our boy we found the Frida Windi. IT WORKS!!!! I have to admit, it felt a bit extreme to utilise a double barreled pipe up his bum, but it just works! Massaged him for a bit after an hour of cramps, pushing till his face turns red and his cries turn hoarse. Not being able to keep his milk in during feeding cause pushing and drinking doesnt go well together also feels rather extreme. So we took our chance, lubed the pipe and gently pushed it in. What happened next….. 5 full seconds the sound of a strong gust of wind. We both looked at each other and got a bit of a jump scare when 2 daipers worth of fecal matter were pushed out as if his butt cheeks were the elevator doors like in The Shining. We slept 3.5 hrs in-between the feedings. We celebrated this as a victory. And guess what, his reflux has improved, he’s giving bits of milk back after feeding but no more silent reflux and crying due to the stomach acid in his upper respiratory tract. 🥳 via /r/NewParents https://ift.tt/GrjTnWg

I’ve struggled getting hard water spots out of the glass on my newly (4 years ago) redone bathroom. I missed the opportunity to ceramic coat the inside glass in the beginning and after 4-5months in I’ve had water scale happen. I did the whole squeegee process and yeah it helped but the pesky spots by the handle where always a nuisance using the squeegee was impossible to get everything. I read a post on here that said try the fabric softener sheet hack and OMG. Night and day difference in one 10min application. I was blown away. I’ve probably spent $50-80 dollars on products claiming to clean soap scum, hard water and to no avail. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ EDIT: Woah came back to this post blowing up. I had the brand BOUNCE: dog hair eliminator version of the fabric softener sheets.
