“Last Chance to See” by Douglas Adams is easily the funniest book I’ve ever read. Completely underappreciated.

Tons of people have read “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and it absolutely deserves the fantastic reputation it has, but “Last Chance to See” is just incredible and a complete hidden gem of a book. It’s a true travelogue of Douglas Adams and David Carwardine traveling to visit various endangered species while they still can. It’s funny as hell, but also really poignant and insightful. Cannot recommend highly enough. Anyone else here read it?An example:We asked, tentatively, if we could perhaps take a snake bite detector kit with us to Komodo. “‘Course you can, ‘course you can.
