Can someone help me figure out this insane debt?

Hi everyone,First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this.I have 2 lovely, lovely, friends (engaged) who are in major need of help (and still a bit of denial). Here are their situations:Laura, 31 years old.$7,912.94 credit card debt @ 24% interest. (down from $11,500)$19,788.51 LOC debt @ 6.25% interest. ($20,000 limit)Car financing: $17,718 remaining @ 5.57%Monthly income: fixed $2028 (currently on EI)Mike, 33 years old.$10,000 credit card debt @ 19% interest$10,000 LOC debt @ 6.25% interestMonthly income: approx $2800 ($28/hour personal training for goodlife)Total household income: $4,828NO SAVINGS.EXPENSES:Monthly Debt Repayment:Laura Visa minimum payment: $276.84Laura LOC minimum payment: $97.82Laura car financing: $343.44Mike Visa minimum payment: approx $250 (estimating)Mike LOC minimum payment: approx $50 (estimating)Total Debt Repayment: $1,018.10Monthly Fixed Expenses:Rent: $1,512Laura car insurance: $194Mike car insurance: $263Laura phone bill: $56.50Mike phone bill: $85Internet: $35Electricity: $130Dog food: $17.50Dog grooming: $8.34Laura eye contacts: $66.67YNAB subscription: $15Total fixed expenses: $2,383.01Monthly Fluctuating Expenses:Groceries: $600Gasoline: $200Laura fun money: $100Mike fun money: $100Laura and mike personal care: $100Total fixed expenses: $1,000What’s leftover at the end of the month for additional payments on Laura’s visa: approx $326.89I used this debt calculator today: https://ift.tt/3vF5pkw Laura’s credit card, and a total payment of about $600/month, her credit card should be paid off within 16 months. But, the other debts continue to grow, as do the minimum payments due to the interest. Is this doable? Can they avoid consumer proposal or bankruptcy? They have no savings. We are using the debt avalacnhe method. Our plan was to tackle Laura’s visa, then Mike’s visa, then Laura’s LOC, then Mike’s LOC.I was going to get Laura and Mike to try to transfer their CC balances to a 0% interst card. Their line of credits are maxed out and they got denied for an increase. Some notes:Living in Toronto. WhitbyBoth Laura and Mike are vegetarian.I have successfully gotten them to stop using their credit cards and line of credits, and only spend on debit. They are only purchasing the essentials, cutting everything possible out.Laura is an RN, but refuses to get the covid vaccine so is unable to work in any healthcare jobs that require a nursing license or a covid vaccine. She is also taking some holistic nutrition 12 week bootcamp that is only accessible to doctors/RNs/etc. She quit her job to focus on it, but it was designed for working professionals to take it while still working as doctors and nurses. She says her main focus is to pass this course with flying colours and doesn’t want to get a job until its done at the end of the year. She very health focused and still wants to be able to buy her probiotics, supplements, and vegan protein powder. Please let me knwo if I accidentally left anything out via /r/PersonalFinanceCanada https://ift.tt/3pxboa3
