Bank deleted all my files. What should I do?

I had an account with Tangerine from 2017-2019 that I am trying to access statements for. I can’t login online using my previous login information and when I call them for help, they tell me that my profile has been deleted and no longer exists. As a result my account statements are not retrievable and they said there’s nothing that can be done. This is a big problem for me as I’m catching up on my 2018-2020 taxes and need those statements to confirm income and expenses. Aren’t banks REQUIRED to keep record of client history for a minimum of 5 or 7 years? Does anybody have a suggestion for best course of action? I’m really stressing out over this as some of the transactions are only verifiable through these bank statements. Thanks in advance via /r/PersonalFinanceCanada https://ift.tt/3dQWt3V
