I got sucker punched by a stranger outside Yonge and Eglinton loblaws

This happened on Friday at around 4:05pm. I was minding my own business about to enter inside loblaws and I decide to bend down to tie my shoes outside the sidewalk entrance and that’s when I got hit from behind. I immediately turn around and realize that my right ear was bleeding. Still in shock, I look around and see the person who appeared to be holding a rock. He just kept walking as if nothing happened and he would turn his head back and he just kept talking to himself.I ended up going to the hospital to get stitches for my ear and I spoke with the police as well. One of the officers I spoke with told me that this has been a thing happening in the Yonge and Eglinton area where unprovoked attacks are happening. Just wanted to share this here for some awareness because I had no idea this was a thing and I’ve been working in that area for about a year now. Hopefully they do catch this guy.
