Rental market bidding wars

Anyone else experiencing this? Been outbid 3x in the last 1.5 weeks for a rental. This is nuts and we’re all going to be homeless jobless living in our cars soon. I make enough I should be able to buy a small condo, but I can’t even get a rental right now.I haven’t needed to rent now in almost 3 years and prices have increased way too much since then and the stakes are incredibly high.
