1st Birthday traditions, parties etc – ideas welcome!

Wondering what everyone did or is doing for their LOs 1st birthday. Any traditions? Special things you have planned? What did you do during the party if you had one?We are having a tiny party because we have a small family (and both sets of grandparents will be in Florida 🤦‍♀️) and keeping it to close friends. I’m making a birthday plate for him to use every year, doing a yearly interview on camera (this year sitting him down and my husbands going to voice him all silly like), smash cake photos, writing him a letter/email about his first year.
